# Using Multi-line Editing in Your IDE

Need to make identical changes across multiple lines? Save time by editing several lines simultaneously:

1. Hold `cmd` (command) on Mac or `ctrl` on Windows/Linux
2. Click each location where you want to place a cursor
3. Type once to edit all selected locations at once

Perfect for tasks like hiding multiple fields in a view file or adding similar tags to several elements.
