Hi team,

I can see from your docs how to reference filter values in Markdown sections of dashboards:

> **[Dynamic variables | Omni Analytics Documentation](https://docs.omni.co/docs/visualization-and-dashboards/dynamic-vis-and-text)**
>
> Use Mustache syntax to create dynamic content in Omni.

However I want to make the queries themselves dynamic, i.e. be able to reference them in SQL. How can I do that?

Hi Dom,
It sounds like you’re describing the Dynamic Controls: [Dashboards | Omni Analytics Documentation](https://docs.omni.co/docs/visualization-and-dashboards/dashboards#controls--parameters--time-frame-switching--dynamic-fields)
These allow you to change the fields included in the SQL query behind your dashboard vis

this might be solved via templated filters. [Templated filters | Omni Analytics Documentation](https://docs.omni.co/docs/modeling/templated-filters)
