Out-of-the-box Period over Period and KPI tiles are very popular features in Omni. But sometimes they can break when used together. That’s because the KPI tile comparison is pointing to a particular column name (eg. Previous Month), and when you change the Comparison Period to be Previous Year instead that column name changes and breaks the reference. This article details how to set up your query to avoid this breakage.

**Swap Rows & Measures**
If transpose the Results table so that your periods appear as rows instead of columns. For there, you can just reference the values in the “Measure Value” column, which stays consistent for any chosen comparison period.
