Thankfully you don’t, since doing so would become unmanageable at scale! In short, new users are created when someone logs in for the first time. Specifically, it depends on the embedding type:
- In the standard SSO embed case, the first successful SSO embed login url that’s used for a given external ID will generate an Omni user associated with that external ID
- In the 2-step SSO embed case, the first successful
/generate-sessionAPI call will generate the user for a given external ID
As a reminder, you can still add/manage/remove users in the Omni settings as well. Reach out to your Omni contact if any questions come up as you test this out!
