Here’s how to restore a view that is ignored in the shared model, from within a branch.

What you’re seeing

  • View files can be ignored which will remove them from the Combined model view and move them into Model mode (Staged when in a branch).

  • In the branch IDE, the “Staged” filter only shows files you’ve changed and saved on the branch. If you haven’t yet created/edited a file for the ignored view in the branch, it won’t appear in Staged.

Step-by-step: Restore the ignored view in a branch (workaround)

  • Open your branch in the model IDE: Model > Branch

  • From Combined mode, create a new view file with the exact same name as the ignored view.

  • Open that view file and set ignored: false.

  • Click Save to branch.

  • When done, merge/publish via your normal branch flow (and PR if git integration is enabled).

  • Your view should now appear in the shared model.
