Filtering "dependent" tile

I have a “main” tile and “dependent” tile.

I would like when a point on the “main” diagram clicked the “dependent” tile to change accordingly. For instance, the “main” tile is a bar chart and has X-axis month. The “dependent” chart has X-axis date. I would like when the specific bar clicked on the “main” the “dependent” to be filtered to this months only.

I tried to do this via embedding, but cannot find the right event to capture from the source.
