How do I add a reference line to a chart?

A reference line on a chart is often helpful to contextualize your data. There are two ways to do this in Omni:

  1. Native “reference line” option: Open the options for the axis you’d like to plot the reference line on, and turn on the reference line toggle. From here, you can add a value for the line, change the width and color, etc.

  2. Use calcs: Create a new column, input the reference line value, and plot the line as if it were any other series. This is slightly more involved, but it gives you more customization options (e.g. labeling the line, changing the axis, etc.).
